my good friend from michigan leaves tomorrow morning to go back, so we all decided to have dinner together. of course, shopping came up and she mentioned her job that she has back in detroit.
i’m so jealous.
she works at a store called “sole sisters.” they sell high end shoes, accessories, bags, etc. it’s like a dream. as we were paying our bill, she saw my cowboy boots and asked if i had heard of frye. “of course! that’s what these are!” i pointed to my boots. then she mentioned they sold them there… and i asked if they had… the deborah studded…
“yep!”
i. die.
also they sell the harness styles, which i so terribly desire too, but… oh man. those are some good looking boots. it’s good to know i have some minor connections to a discount. ;)

i bought another shade of lipstick today. i had one in a shimmery apricot color but it just wasn’t bold enough. so i chose revlon’s kiss me coral this time. it’s bold alright…

i NEED a white button down. it’s absolutely necessary. a while back i made a list of all the basics, essentials, and necessities of a woman’s wardrobe so that way i could stop getting all shop-happy and buy things i’m only going to wear/like for a couple of times. but i’ve found that it has made me terribly picky when it comes to getting things. maybe i should be thankful for that? who knows.
anyway, the button down. i don’t know why i didn’t get it earlier because i’m finding that i’m struggling to survive without it. check out this little gem:
doesn’t it just look so soft and floaty? and i really just adore the tuxedo style. price? $80. i just can’t bring myself to do it yet. i mean, i know what it means to make an investment, but i’m… eh… jobless? so i guess i need to scrimp and save for when i REALLY need it. but it just calls to me… “i’d look so good under a marled sweater… wear me to bed… over a dress as a light jacket… belted…”
it’s just too much to handle. i need more turkey. or something.
